Wood Knocking is the action of hitting two pieces of wood together to create a noise. The goal in this technique is to get Bigfoot to answer by wood knocking back or by making a sound. This actually does occur with other known apes as a way to communicate over long distances. No Bigfoot has ever actually been seen beating a tree or creating such a sound, but there has been reports of people hearing the sounds of distant wood knocking throughout forests.
