 I recently found some of our videos that never got posted to our YouTube channel. I will be working on this in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye out for them.

This video was taken on April 21, 2021. We had thrown out some stale bread and set up a trail camera so the grandkids could see the wildlife. The video showed some local wildlife, but we found this strange. Near the end of the video, you will hear what sounds like a whistle, and the fox behaves very strangely.

 

Strange images

These images were captured one week ago on our trail camera. We don't have any clue what this is. We can only speculate. These are the things we have ruled out and why. It is not a dog or cat due to placement of the camera and the vicinity. It is not an Opossum as the hair appears to shaggy. This camera was placed in a known Bigfoot hot spot. But we only speculate as to what these images may be.

Great Looking year!

It looks like the Carolina Cryptid Crew has a busy year coming up! And I'm excited! This Friday we will be checking out a known hotspot. There have been a few reported sightings at this area, and one of our team members was fortunate enough to come face to face with a bigfoot while fishing at this location. So needless to say, I can't wait to get in there Friday evening.

We have our public expedition coming up in a few weeks. Those are always a lot of fun. But this year, we will be camping in a known hotspot. I'm looking forward to it.

The ladies from the team Bigfoot Babes willl be holding their first ever camp out. This should be a lot of fun for the ladies!

We have three properties to check out, as there has been Bigfoot activity reported. I love it when the team gets to help out people, that's what we're all about. Giving back to the community and trying to educate everyone we can about this elusive creature.

One of our founders, Melissa, has a few new Bigfoot books coming out this Summer. You don't want to miss these. She has already produced some amazing books on the topic.

What a mess!

I usually don't get mixed up in what I like to call the "Bigfoot Politics". I do my own thing with my team and let the rest do theirs.But recently there has been a few things going on in the Bigfoot community that has brought a lot of negative attention. We are all adults and we are all responsible for our actions. If you do something wrong and it gets brought to light, claim it, own it and move on. Don't point your finger at anyone else when you are the one that screwed up. We are all supposed to be adults and we are all supposed to be researchers. We should be working together building each other up instead of wasting time trying to tear each other down. Nothing will be gained by trying to destroy another researcher but a lot can be lost. I feel like there have been some things that have been done wrong. And it appears that some things were done out of spite or jealousy. What will that accomplish? Who actually benefits from this? No one. But the community suffers as a whole. We already have to stand up against non-believer scrutiny then something like this happens, we all end up looking like a bunch of dumb asses for a while. I myself don't like that. But when members of the Bigfoot community take it upon themselves to drop all morals and ethics for the sake of hurting another researcher, everyone's credibility in the community suffers.

Strange Lights

Some of the team went out to our research area last night. It was pretty cold so we built a fire right away. Not long after we built the fire we started hearing some branches break and some leaves rustling. It was time to head deeper into the woods! We heard some yells off in the distance. These yells set the coyotes off. It was awesome just to stand quietly and listen. As we stood listening, we saw something I can't explain. There was a light that at first I assumed was an airplane. But as we began watching it, it wasn't blinking and wasn't making any sound at all. We all four watched this light evolve from orange to white to yellow, and it was moving very fast. This light dove straight down to about 15 to 20 feet above the ground and it was moving through the trees not twenty feet away from us. We all watched this thing for quite some time. Then it just stopped and hovered. Finally, it moved on past our line of site. But not two minutes after it was gone we started picking up a lot of footsteps exactly where it had stopped and hovered.We went in that direction but never could see anything. We heard a lot of branches breaking and footsteps in the leaves. But we never saw anything. I can't explain what this light was. I have never seen anything like this. It was awesome to witness and now I am more curious than ever as to what goes on in the dark woods at night. We didn't capture any evidence but anytime you can leave the woods with a personal experience, it was a successful night.

Public Expedition

The Carolina Cryptid Crew is gearing up for their annual public expedition!

On October 24 the Cryptid Crew will come together with some randomly chosen guests to spend an evening in our hottest research area. This area boasts 7 + sightings from the early eighties to today the last sighting being 2014.

Our evening will start out before dark with a guide leading our guests through the woods to get a feel for the land. We will then return to base camp and have a dinner of hot dogs, chips, bottled water, and dessert. If the weather is cold, hot chocolate and hot cider will be provided. After dinner, we will listen as members and guests entertain us with their own experiences and sightings. As the evening grows dark, we will gear up and hit the woods!

The Carolina Cryptid Crew Welcomes The Public on October 24, 2015

Seneca, SC (September 9, 2015). Carolina Cryptid Crew, based in Seneca, SC, will welcome new faces for the second annual public Bigfoot Expedition. Carolina Cryptid Crew has appeared on Finding Bigfoot, Sasquatch Chronicles, various news and radio stations, and has even consulted with Nationally televised programs, such as Monsters and Mysteries In America. The Carolina Cryptid Crew has researched the upstate area for the past few years and have found some amazing evidence.

When you participate in one of these public expeditions with the Carolina Cryptid Crew, you will get to see what cryptid research is really like, not just what is shown on popular television. You will receive some training and get the chance to see evidence collected in person. You will experience the ups and downs of cryptid investigations, get to ask questions, and may even have the chance to have an experience or even collect evidence. This is an experience like no other.

Bluff Charge or Territorial Display

Some members of our team went up to an undisclosed river in the mountains on Saturday, August 22. (We were on the outskirts of the Appalachian national forest.) to spend the night and do a little squatchin. This place has had sightings and is a known bigfoot hot spot. Around nine thirty a group of us headed out while others remained at camp. We hiked a long way into the woods into some pretty rugged terrain. We got some tree knocks, heard some close grunts and saw some evidence of "wildlife" during our hike. There were a few strange structures, but with it being dark, I didn't get photos plus the fact that we all have seen tree structures and these were nothing out of the norm. We crossed an area with a terribly strong urine smell. I mean it was almost nauseating it was so strong. As we walked we were on what looked to be a small trail. I don't know if it was a game trail or a fishermans trail. But there were some broken branches that we noticed as we walked. We did a few whoops and a couple of yells. We were hearing distant responses. And knowing that there was no way it was another person due to our secluded location. With it being so distant there was no way I could have picked it up on audio. After a while, some of us decided to head back to camp. It was still early and we knew the activity would probably pick up later during the night. Two of the men stayed in that area to try to get a response. Two other men walked the girls back to camp. The reason it was done this way, we were in bear and mountain lion country. The men were armed and the ladies only had bush knives on our sides.After we were safely back to camp our two escorts headed back out. Once they met up with the two that were waiting they all four headed deeper in. They came across an area where a small a dome had been fashioned with branches and leaves. It looked to them to be a beding area. They continued deeper until they found a large fallen tree. They sat donw to rest and listen for a bit. This is when they heard what sounded to be two teenage girls mumbling in the distance. They knew there was no way this was humanly possible.(Samurai chatter?) After a while, they heard two tree knocks, right after this from behind them came a sound that caused them all to go into fight or flight mode. It will be hard to describe to you what they heard but I will try to put you there.
They were sitting on a log very deep in the woods adjacent to a running river. Tree frogs and crickets could be heard but you could not see the sky through the canopy of the trees. It was so dark you could not see you hand in front of your face. They had cut out all lights and sat in the dark quietly talking. Behind them was the sound of a very large tree coming down! The noise cut the quiet of the night with a loud wood splintering sound! There was no thud of the tree hitting the ground. The woods went completely silent right after, then came the sound of a loud and close tree knock! The guys jumped to their feet with guns drawn. They said they fully expected to be charged! After the woods went silent they waited a few more minutes knowing the charge was coming! Knowing this had been a bluff charge or a territorial display, they slowly made their way back out. On their way back out the noticed river mud on some leaves that were well over eight feet. This mud was brushed on top of the leaves and not underneath them! We can't say for sure what any of this was or why it happened, but it was an awesome experience!!
